Filling and Wrapping Notes

Perimeter is the distance around a shape, found by adding all the side lengths together.
Ex. P=S +S +S +S
For a circle perimeter is called the circumference, found by multiplying the diameter by Pi
Ex. C = dTT

Area is the space occupied by a shape (the inside)
Triangle A = bh/2
Rectangle A = lw
Parallelogram A= bh
Trapezoid A = b+b/2(h)

Volume is the capacity of a 3D shape
V=lwh

Surface Area is the total of all the surfaces of a prism/3D shape
